The Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) Pakistan and the National Dialogue Forum (NDF) launched the mini-docuseries titled “The Refugee Stories: Lives of the Afghan Refugees in Pakistan” at Serena Hotel Islamabad on December 8, 2022. The documentary series highlighted the struggles and the achievements of Afghan refugee role models and community leaders who have excelled in adversity.

In the second roundtable discussion on “Afghanistan and its Challenges for Peace and Development”, organized by National Dialogue Forum (NDF) and Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF), speakers from Pakistan and Afghanistan discussed about the state of Afghan migrants in Pakistan after August 2021 and the way forward. As part of the discussion, a special focus was given to the Afghan refugee communities in Quetta and Balochistan.
Pakistan Institute of Parliamentary Services (PIPS) organised a five-day orientation on the “Constitutional Frameworks of Pakistan and the Role of Legislators” for the registered Afghan refugee students at the PIPS Campus in Islamabad, from 15 to 19 August 2022.
At the opening of the International Summer Workshop (ISW) on August 19, 2022, speakers highlighted the importance of regional connectivity, stability, and peace for sustainable development in the Pakistan-Afghanistan and the broader South and Central Asia region.
